- Broadcasting
The Gospel Broadcasting Ministry started in August of 1996. The recording room was set up after the officiating ceremony led by Rev. Moses Yang, Dr. Ben Armstrong and Mr. Henry Wu. The recording equipment was donated by Mr. Henry Wu (the brother of Rev. Zion Wu), the executive director of Lutheran Hour China Branch. This twenty four tract mixing console simultaneously recorded twenty four sound tracks thus facilitating musical productions. A donor gave us a digital audio system and another donor gave the CD production system. This completed our Gospel broadcasting set-up. Thank the Lord for His bountiful grace and may the Lord continue to help us and give us wisdom to use this tool effectively in crossing time and space for the furtherance of the Gospel.
We produce the monthly "Bread of Life" Broadcasting cassette tapes. This is a forty-five minute program, consisting of a main topic with correlated songs. This is to help believers in their spiritual growth.
- Christian Bookstore
In 1981, an American friend who was in the real estate leased to us, at a very low rental fee, a small storefront for our Christian Evangelical Bookstore. It was located at 1236 Route 46 West. Parsippany, NJ. In 2004, upon the church building completion of the CEMC in Towaco, the Christian Evangelical Bookstore relocated the bookstore to the new church. The bookstore has Chinese and English Christian books, stationary, audio tapes, and gift items.
- Administration
The co-workers at EMSI have been doing the administrative work cooperatively, not only have our lives been enriched, but also our spiritual lives have been more abundant and blessed. We believe that the blessings we receive are greater in our time.
Aside from the inner ministry at EMSI, we have three external Gospel ministries: Theological education, Pastoral education and Overseas Mission Ministry.
- THEOLOGICAL EDUCATION OF EMSI
Evangelical Bible InstituteThe Evangelical Bible Institute was established in 1979. Its purposes include:-
To train full time ministers. There is a lack of full time ministers around the world, so EBI has a special burden and vision to nurture and train people to the needs of our time.
-
In this age of confusing Christian beliefs, we insist in the inerrancy of the Bible and exalting God’s power. The contemporary and liberal theological thinking have permeated in many seminaries. Our seminary’s purpose is to go against the trend of the times and become a tower of strength in fighting a good fight in defending the Biblical doctrine.
-
In this age of unbelief, we need to walk by faith. While many have wavered in their faith and blindly followed the trend of the time, we believe in the trustworthiness of God’s promise and to walk by faith, so that the will of God will be accomplished.

- PASTORAL MINISTRY OF EMSI
Christian Evangelical Mission InternationalRev. Moses Yang started the personal ministry in 1968. He opened his house and targeted different groups for Bible study groups. It included the College Bible Study group, youth and junior high groups and the Children’s Sunday School. Rev. Yang and this group of students built a strong relationship with one another. When Bible study groups continued to grow, a church was established. The purpose of the church is to spread the Gospel and bring people to the Lord. This not only helped the non-believers to receive the new life in Christ, but also for the Christians to have an abundant life.Christian Evangelical Mission was established in West Orange, New Jersey in 1975. The main ministry was establishing churches, pastoring churches, and church planting. Presently, the CEM had been established in four continents- America, Europe, Africa and Asia. There are 13 CECs in America – it’s divided by east coast, west coast and south. There are 23 CECs in Europe and it’s divided by six countries - Holland, Spain, Portugal, France, Belgium and Italy. The CEC in Cape Town, South Africa was established in February 1996. There are three churches in Asia, two in Japan and one in Taiwan. Therefore, EMSI has established forty CEC churches around the world in these forty years of history.
- MISSION WORK OF EMSI
Christian Evangelical Oversea Mission"Mission" means to proclaim and teach God's Gospel. EMSI established the Christian Evangelical Oversea Mission in 1995 with the purpose of developing the oversea mission work. These thirteen years, we have our own mission strategy and to follow the Biblical truth in leading people to Christ. We went to different places to spread the Gospel, to train our own sheep and establish CEC churches, so that the Gospel will be preached to the ends of the earth. We saw God’s blessings and the fruits of the mission work.Mission has been the vision of EMSI, because we know that God would be pleased when the Gospel is preached to the world. We hold on to the vision from the Lord and move forward in reaching out to the lost souls.
As we reflect on the past thirteen years, we have learned a lot of lessons in the mission works and we had many good experiences. Our spiritual lives have been greatly motivated. Mission work is the responsibility of every Christian and we have the hope that God will use our the churches of CEC to reach out to those who haven’t heard about the Gospel. May the Christian Evangelical Oversea Mission be a blessing to the world.
