About the Church:

Christian Evangelical Mission Church (CEMC) commenced in 1980 at the location of Waughaw Road in Towaco. A small group of believers gathered together to pray, worship, and fellowship. In 1982, CEMC and Evangelical Bible Institute (EBI) moved to a 26 acre campus and facility located at 36 Alpine Road, Towaco, NJ. EBI's campus provides the seminary students and the congregation with many indoor and outdoor activities. Recreational facilities for sports include basketball, handball, softball, table tennis, tennis, and volleyball. Today, after 20 years since the birth of CEMC in Towaco, the congregation has grown to approximately 300 people. The congregation is composed of mostly Chinese from Burma, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, and Taiwan.

During the week, there are many bible study groups, fellowships, and prayer meetings that come together. Bible study groups are offered in English and various dialects namely Cantonese, Mandarin, and Shanghainese. Also, 7 different fellowships gather to meet monthly.
